About

I didn't take the traditional path into engineering. I dropped out of high school, spent years in construction and bartending across St. Louis, and competed nationally in kickboxing and boxing. I taught myself to code at 28.

That background shaped how I think about building systems. Today I work with enterprise teams on payment infrastructure and identity management, contribute to Apache, and wrote Grokking Streaming Systems for Manning.
